Frequently Asked Questions

Appointments can easily be made via the online booking platform or by phone.

If you have a specific question or referral, please mention it when booking so that sufficient time can be scheduled.

Consultations are fully conventioned, meaning that the official RIZIV (Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance) rates apply.

No additional fees are charged, except in exceptional cases (for example, failure to attend without notice).

Payments can be made via Payconiq or Bancontact.

Please bring your identity card, a list of your current medications, and any reports from previous examinations or blood test results.

A referral letter from your GP or specialist is helpful but not always required (see below).

A referral letter is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended.

It helps coordinate your care between the GP and the specialist and avoids unnecessary investigations.

Blood samples can be taken at the laboratory of AZ Oostende, at a recognized external lab, or at your GP’s office, depending on what is most convenient for you.

If you have difficulty travelling, a home blood draw is also possible thanks to our collaboration with an independent nurse.

Parking is available in the surrounding streets.

During weekends, holidays and the high season, parking is paid from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The practice is also easily accessible by tram (stop Sint-Bernardusplein, approximately 500 metres on foot).
